Gautam Gambhir separated from Lucknow Super Giants

Former Team India captain Gautam Gambhir has taken a shocking decision and now he has parted ways with Lucknow Super Giants Franchise (LSG). He worked with Lucknow Super Giants in IPL as a mentor for two years but now he has resigned from his post. Gambhir has now returned to the Kolkata Knight Riders team, for whom he played in the IPL for many years.

When Lucknow Super Giants made their IPL debut, they made him the mentor of the team. Andy Flower was appointed head coach of the team. In both the first seasons, the performance of Lucknow Super Giants was good and the team reached the playoffs. However, Andy Flower has departed from the team and Justin Langer has been made the head coach in his place. Now Gautam Gambhir has also resigned from Lucknow Super Giants and joined KKR.

Gautam Gambhir informed about his separation from LSG by tweeting. He said in his tweet,

I announce the end of my wonderful journey with Lucknow Super Giants. During my tenure, I received a lot of love from all the coaches, players and support staff and I express my gratitude to them. I would like to thank Sanjiv Goenka under whose excellent leadership this team was built and who also supported me a lot. I am confident that this team will perform very well in the coming days and will make the fans of Lucknow Super Giants feel proud. Best wishes to LSG Brigade.

Gautam Gambhir becomes part of KKR team
