The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has admitted that the demand for tickets for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 to be held in India during October-November is very high. For this reason, BCCI, after discussing with the host state associations, has announced the release of approximately 400,000 tickets for this much-awaited tournament.
BCCI said in a statement,
“The aim of this announcement is to attract more keen cricket fans to the world cup 2023 and ensure their participation in this historic event.”
Therefore, now cricket lovers from all over the world including India can book their seats to watch this Mahakumbh of cricket which takes place once in 4 years. However, cricket experts believe that due to the huge demand for tickets for this upcoming tournament, even 4 lakh tickets may be exhausted soon.
The general sale of tickets for all matches of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will begin on September 8, 2023 at 8:00 PM IST. Fans can buy tickets by visiting the official ticketing website of the Cricket World Cup. Cricket fans will then be informed about the next phase of ticket sales in due course.
Let us tell you that ICC ODI World will start from October 5. This World Cup will start on October 5 from Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the first match will be played between 2019 World Cup winner England and runner-up New Zealand. India’s first match will be played against Australia on October 8 at Chennai ground. At the same time, the final match of this World Cup will be played on 19th November at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
