Lucknow Super Giants announced new coach, shocking name revealed

Lucknow Super Giants has announced its new assistant coach for the next season of IPL. Lucknow Super Giants have appointed Sreedharan Sriram as their assistant coach. Sridharan Sriram has also worked with the Australian team before and now he will work with Justin Langer in the Lucknow Super Giants team. In such a situation, the pairing of both can prove to be very good.

Lucknow Super Giants had earlier appointed former Australian coach Justin Langer as their head coach. Justin Langer was appointed head coach after Andy Flower’s contract expired. Former India chief selector MSK Prasad was appointed strategic advisor to Lucknow Super Giants.

Sridharan Sriram’s experience will be very useful for the team – LSG
Now Sridharan Sriram has been appointed the assistant coach of the team. Giving an update on their website, Lucknow Super Giants said,

Sridharan Sriram has a lot of coaching experience. When he was the coach of Bangladesh T20 team, Bangladesh won two important matches in T20 World Cup 2022. Lucknow Super Giants welcomes him wholeheartedly.
Let us tell you that earlier there were reports that Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir may leave the team. When Lucknow Super Giants made their IPL debut, they made Gautam Gambhir the mentor of the team. Andy Flower was appointed head coach of the team. In both the first seasons, the performance of Lucknow Super Giants was good and the team reached the playoffs. Although Andy Flower has departed from the team and there were reports of Gautam Gambhir’s resignation too, but till now no official statement has come from the franchise regarding this.
