Duleep Trophy 2023: Cheteshwar Pujara hit a brilliant century, RCB bowler took 5 wickets

Tough competition is being seen in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2023 semi-final matches. In the first semi-final held at Alur, West Zone tightened their grip against Central Zone thanks to a brilliant century from Cheteshwar Pujara. On the other hand, the ongoing second semi-final at the Chinnaswamy Stadium saw a tough fight between North Zone and South Zone as Prabhsimran Singh’s half-century helped North Zone set a challenging target for South.

West Zone vs Central Zone, 1st Semi Final, Duleep Trophy 2023

West Zone had maintained a lead of 241 runs at stumps on the second day but due to incessant rain on the third day only 53 overs were played. West Zone have scored 292/9 at the end of the third day’s play and have a total lead of 384 runs. Veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara played an excellent century innings of 133 runs for West Zone. He was supported in the middle of the innings by Het Patel who scored 27 runs. Saurabh Kumar has so far taken 4 wickets from the Central Zone side.

North Zone vs South Zone, 2nd Semi Final, Duleep Trophy 2023

The second semi-final match has come to an exciting turn. After taking a small lead of 3 runs in the first innings, North Zone scored 211 runs in the second innings and set a challenging target of 215 runs in front of South Zone. In response to this target, South Zone has scored 21 runs without losing a wicket, Mayank Agarwal is at the crease after scoring 15 runs and Sai Sudarshan is present at the crease and South Zone is 195 runs away from the target. In the second innings for North Zone, Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with 63 runs, supported by Harshit Rana who scored 38 runs. Vijaykumar Vishak took 5 wickets from South Zone.4
