Duleep Trophy: KKR bowler hit a stormy century off 75 balls

Two quarter final matches of Duleep Trophy are going on in Bangalore grounds. The first quarterfinal is being played at Alur ground while the second match is being held at Chinnaswamy ground. On the second day, North Zone declared the innings on a big score of 540/8, while on the other hand, the ongoing match has seen low scores in both the first innings. East Zone was bundled out for 122 runs in reply to Central Zone’s 182 runs.

North Zone vs North East Zone

North Zone started play ahead of the score of 306/6 on the first day and declared the innings by scoring 540 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. On the second day, Nishant Sindhu carried forward his innings of 76 runs and scored a brilliant century. Nishant Sindhu first shared a century partnership with Pulkit Narang and then added 104 runs with Harshit Rana. Nishant played a crucial innings of 150 but at the other end, Harshit Rana scored his maiden first-class century.

Harshit, who played for KKR in the IPL, scored this blistering century off 75 balls and when the innings was declared, he scored 122 not out off 86 balls. In response to North Zone’s big score, North East Zone have scored 65/3 at the end of the day’s play and are still 475 runs away in the first innings.

Central Zone vs East Zone

On the other hand, in the first quarterfinal at Alur ground, on the second day, Central Zone made a tremendous comeback in the match by bowling brilliantly. On the first day, Central Zone was bundled out for 182 runs, but on the second day, East Zone was also reduced to only 122 runs. Riyan Parag scored the maximum 33 runs from the East Zone. Avesh Khan took 3 wickets and Shivam Mavi took 2 wickets for the Central Zone. In the second innings, Central Zone scored 64 runs without losing a wicket and the total lead was 124 runs.
