Prithvi Shaw was out of the main competition due to a big reason, recently scored a double century

Indian opener Prithvi Shaw, who is spreading  fire with the bat in England’s county cricket, has suffered a major setback. Shaw has had to curtail his county cricket journey with Northamptonshire due to a knee injury.

Shaw was injured while fielding in an ODI against Durham. Later, when he was taken for a scan, it was found that his injury was worse than expected. Shaw is currently under the care of the BCCI medical team and will undergo treatment from a specialist doctor in London on Friday.

Playing for Northamptonshire, the 23-year-old’s bat spoke volumes as he scored 429 runs in the four matches he played, including an innings of 244 against Somerset. Along with this, Shaw also played a brilliant century innings of 125 not out against Durham.

Prithvi Shaw has made a huge impact on our club in a short amount of time. It is a matter of great regret that he will not be with us for the rest of his time in our association. He is a very humble young man, he is very respectful and he is very grateful to represent Northamptonshire. Apart from his performances on the field, he also made a huge impact in the dressing room.
