Zimbabwe registered a thrilling victory, one step closer to the World Cup 2023

In the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers (ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023), Super-6 matches started from today. The first match of the Super-6 was played between Zimbabwe and Oman (ZIM vs OMA), where the hosts made their way into the upcoming World Cup easier by securing a thrilling 14-run win. The Oman team won the toss at the start of the match and decided to bowl first. Zimbabwe got off to a good start batting first. Opener Joylard Gumby contributed 21 and Craig Ervine contributed 25 runs. After this, Madhevere, who came to bat at number 4, also scored 23 runs. At one stage the hosts were 112/3 but from here Shaun Williams shared a century partnership of 102 runs with Sikandar Raza.
