Indian team won a thrilling match in the second super over

The third match of the T20 series was played between India and Afghanistan at the Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. Team India gave a challenging target of 213 runs to Afghanistan due to the tremendous innings of captain Rohit and Rinku Singh. In response to this big target, the Afghanistan team was successful in tying the match. Both teams played a super over. It ended in tie. After this, in the second super over, Team India won the match by 10 runs.

Team India, who came to bat first, had a very bad start. Yashasvi Jaiswal lost 4 runs, Shivam Dubey lost 1 run and Virat Kohli and Sanju Samson lost their wickets on the first ball each. At one time India had lost 4 wickets for 22 runs but from here Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh made a strong partnership of 190 runs. Rohit Sharma played an unbeaten inning of 121 runs on 69 balls which included 11 fours and 8 sixes. On the other end, Rinku Singh was in his old style. Rinku Singh played a tremendous inning of 69 runs in 39 balls, during which he hit 2 fours and 6 sixes. For Afghanistan, Farid Ahmed Malik took maximum 3 wickets while Azmatullah Omarzai also got 1 wicket.

Naib tied the match

Chasing the huge target of 213 runs, the opening batsmen of the visiting team made a blazing start of 93 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran played excellent innings of 50-50 runs. But in the last overs, Gulbadin Naib ended the match on par with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours in 23 balls. Naib tied the match by scoring 18 runs in the last over.

First super over

After the match was tied, a super over match was played where Afghanistan batted first and scored 16 runs on 6 balls. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out to bat for India. Rohit Sharma hit 2 sixes and then went out of the field. Jaiswal was able to score 1 run on the last ball and the super over also ended in a draw. The second super was played under the rules.

Second super over

From India’s side, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh once again came on the field to bat. Rohit hit a six and a four on the first two balls but after that Rinku Singh was out on the first ball and Rohit Sharma was run out after scoring 11 runs. Chasing the target of 12 runs, the visiting team lost both its wickets in just 3 balls and India won this thrilling match by 10 runs. Also, Afghanistan has made a clean sweep in the series also.
