Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR vs SRH) by 23 runs in the 19th match of IPL 2023 played in Kolkata. Batting first, SRH scored 228/4 in 20 overs, in reply KKR could only manage 205/7 after playing the entire over.

Elected to play Sunrisers Hyderabad after losing the toss, Harry Brook along with Mayank Agarwal got off to a brisk start and added 46 runs in 4.1 overs. Mayank became the victim of Andre Russell after scoring 9 runs in 13 balls. Rahul Tripathi also went on to score 9 runs with the help of two fours. From here, Brook and captain Aiden Markram took the lead and added 72 runs in 47 balls to take the score past 120. Markram scored 50 runs in 26 balls and was dismissed for 129.

Chasing the target, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a very bad start. Rehmanullah Gurbaz was dismissed for 0 on the third ball of the innings. Rinku Singh also scored an unbeaten 58 in 31 balls but today he could not win his team. Marco Jansen and Mayank Markande took two wickets each for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
