Pakistan will come to India to play ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, government has given permission

The Pakistani government has allowed its Pakistan cricket team to come to India to participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. With this decision of the Government of Pakistan, the uncertainty of Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup has ended for the last several months. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement,

“Pakistan has consistently maintained that sports should not be mixed with politics. Hence, it has decided to send its cricket team to India to participate in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Pakistan believes that India The state of bilateral relations should not come in the way of fulfilling its international sporting obligations.”

In this statement of Pakistani Foreign Ministry, it was further said that,

“This decision reflects the constructive and responsible approach of Pakistan as against India’s obstinate attitude, as India refused to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup.”
With this statement of the Government of Pakistan, it is now confirmed that the Pakistani team will definitely come to India to play the World Cup. However, Pakistan is still worried about many issues. The statement from the Ministry of External Affairs also indicated that there is no confidence in Pakistan’s security arrangements in the World Cup, as the statement further said,

“However, Pakistan has deep concerns regarding the security of its cricket team. We are conveying these concerns to the International Cricket Council and the Indian authorities. We hope that full security will be ensured for the Pakistan cricket team during their tour of India. ”
In fact, Pakistan had expressed its desire to change the stadium for the group match against India in Ahmedabad. India initially refused to make any changes to the World Cup schedule, but may now decide to advance the India-Pakistan match by a day to avoid clashing with the Hindu festival of Navratri.

Because of this, Pakistan’s first match against Sri Lanka on 12 October was moved to 10 October to give them enough time to prepare for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which the PCB agreed to. The PCB accepted the change in those dates in its fixtures.
