Team India’s tremendous victory in the Asia Cup, Captain’s blistering century

Two Group B matches were held today in the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Emerging Asia Cup (ACC Men’s Emerging Cup 2023). In the third match of the tournament, India A defeated UAE A by 8 wickets. Captain Yash Dhull’s tremendous century has been seen in this one-sided victory of the Indian team. Batting first, the UAE team managed to score 175/9 in 50 overs and set an easy target in front of India. Team India achieved this target in the 27th over and secured their first win of the tournament.

India A captain Yash Dhull won the toss and decided to bowl first. Harshit Rana took the first wicket in the very first over. After that UAE top order batsman Ansh Tandon 5 and Lovepreet Singh returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. Aryansh Sharma, playing fast innings at the other end, made an important contribution of 38 runs. The Indian team returned half of the UAE team for 66 runs but the sixth wicket saw a crucial 80-run partnership between captain Chidambaram and Mohammad Farajuddin. Chidambaram top-scored with 46 runs, while Farajuddin made an important contribution of 35 runs. Harshit Rana took a maximum of 4 wickets from Team India.

The start of Team India chasing the target was also not good. The team got setbacks in the form of Sai Sudarshan and Abhishek Sharma. Sai Sudarshan scored 8 runs and Abhishek Sharma scored 19 runs. Both the openers returned to the pavilion on 41 runs but after this, there was a match-winning partnership of 138 runs between captain Yash Dhull and Nikin Jose. Nikin scored 41 runs in 53 balls and Yash Dhull scored a blistering century of 108 runs in 84 balls. Yash Dhull hit 20 fours and 1 six in his best innings.

Team India’s next match will be against Nepal on 17th July and after that, the last match in the league stage will be played against Pakistan on 19th July.
