Veteran player will return to New Zealand team for World Cup 2023

The New Zealand Cricket Board has confirmed that Kane Williamson, the regular captain of the white-ball format, will be in New Zealand’s 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to be held in India. Blackcaps coach Gary Stead said that,

“While Williamson’s selection does not guarantee that he will be available for the first match, he is making excellent progress in his recovery. Kane has worked phenomenally hard to recover, And for this he has been helped by many experts. He has left no stone unturned to try to play cricket at the highest level again. We are glad that he is now in a position where it is possible to be selected.
