West Indies defeated England by four wickets in the fifth and last T20 match (WI vs ENG) played in Trinidad. With this, the Caribbean team (West Indies Cricket Team) won the five-match series 3-2. Batting first, England were all out for 132 runs in 19.3 overs. In reply, West Indies achieved this target by losing six wickets in 19.2 overs. Gudakesh Moti was adjudged player of the match for his excellent bowling. England’s Phil Salt was chosen Player of the Series for scoring 331 runs including two centuries.

West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, England’s start was not that good and only 2 wickets fell for 39 runs. Phil Salt played a brilliant inning of 38 runs in 22 balls. However, captain Jos Buttler and Will Jacques were flops. Liam Livingstone scored 28 runs in the middle order. Moeen Ali also played an inning of 23 runs but the rest of the batsmen flopped. The team lost wickets in bunches and due to this they were reduced to 132 runs. For the Caribbean team, Gudakesh Moti took maximum 3 wickets and Andre Russell also got 2 wickets.

Shai Hope scored unbeaten 43 runs and led the team to victory
West Indies, while chasing the target, also lost 2 wickets for 33 runs. Although the target was not very big, hence the batsmen did not hurry but despite this, 6 wickets fell till 123 runs. In the middle order, Shai Hope somehow led the team to victory by scoring unbeaten 43 runs on 43 balls. Sherfane Rutherford supported him well by scoring 30 runs on 24 balls and Johnson Charles also scored 27 runs on 22 balls. For England, Reece Topley and Adil Rashid took 2-2 wickets.
