SA vs AUS: Big blow to Australia, key player out of the team

Big news is coming out of the white ball series between South Africa and Australia (SA vs AUS). Australia captain Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the 5-match ODI series starting on 7 September. The main reason for Cummins being out is being told about his wrist injury.

I didn’t think this injury was that bad – Pat Cummins

Cummins was already not selected in the T20 International squad, but he was supposed to lead the team for the ODI series, but his injury made him very frustrated and disappointed because he did not think that his injury was so bad. . Talking about this injury, Cummins said,

It hurt the first day when I bowled, and it hurt a lot when I was batting, but I didn’t think it would be this bad. Then every day it was getting a little more painful, so I knew it might be a muscle problem rather than a bone problem.
The right-arm fast bowler further expressed hope that his injury will heal soon and he will recover from it and return to the field soon. Cummins said,

I am going to South Africa during that time. But we are probably looking more towards those ODIs before the World Cup. This injury shouldn’t be that bad and will probably heal with a few more weeks.
The 5-match ODI series SA vs AUS will start in Durban from 7th September, while the second ODI will be played on 9th September at Mangoung Oval, Bloemfontein. The third match of the series will be held on September 12 at the Senwes Park, Potchefstroom.
