SL vs PAK: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka badly in Test series

In the second match of the Sri Lanka vs Pakistan (SL vs PAK) Test series played at Colombo ground, the visiting team won by an innings and 222 runs. Pakistan (Pakistan Cricket Team) defeated Sri Lanka (Sri Lanka Cricket Team) badly and won the series by 2-0. After a one-sided victory in the first match, the Pakistan team continued to dominate in the second match as well and won a thumping victory on the fourth day of the match. The Pakistan team has made a tremendous start in the World Test Championship 2023-25 and has secured the first position in the points table.

On the third day of the second Test of SL vs PAK, Pakistan had put up a massive score of 563/5 at stumps and added a total of 13 runs while opening their innings today. As soon as Mohammad Rizwan’s half-century was completed, captain Babar Azam declared the innings, due to which the visiting team took a huge lead of 410 runs. Sri Lanka started well in the second innings. Opener Nishan Madushka along with skipper Dimuth Karunaratne put on 69 runs for the first wicket but Nouman Ali’s spin left the hosts batsmen one after the other. From 69/0, the Sri Lankan team was all out for 188 runs.

For Sri Lanka, Angelo Mathews scored the highest innings of 63 runs and he stood at the other end. Apart from this, Nishan Madushka scored 33 runs and Captain Karunaratne scored 41 runs. Nauman Ali took the maximum 7 wickets for Pakistan. Although Nouman Ali had a great chance to take 10 wickets, but Naseem Shah came in at the end and bowled all three lower order batsmen to give Pakistan the victory. Sri Lanka’s second innings was reduced to 188 runs and Pakistan unilaterally won this match as well.
