India and Pakistan teams will be in the same group during T20 World Cup

All the teams around the world are currently busy preparing for the T20 World Cup to be held in USA and West Indies. At the same time, important updates related to this World Cup are coming out. According to reports, India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group during the T20 World Cup 2024.

According to the report of The Telegraph, Team India has been placed in Group A, in which Pakistan team is also there. Apart from India-Pakistan, other teams of this group are not that strong. Host USA, Canada and Ireland have also been placed in Group A along with India-Pakistan. With this it is decided that India-Pakistan competition will take place in the group stage itself.

There may be a match between India and Pakistan on June 9

According to reports, Team India will play its first match against Ireland on June 4. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in New York on June 9. Both the teams can play their Super-8 matches in Barbados, where the final match will also be played.

Apart from India-Pakistan, if we talk about other groups, then Group B has teams of England, Australia, Scotland, Namibia and Oman. Group C has the teams of New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda and Papua New Guinea. Apart from this, Group D has teams from South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal.

Let us tell you that this time the T20 World Cup will be played from June 4 to June 30, 2024. America and West Indies will jointly host this tournament and matches will be organized at 10 venues in total. This time 20 teams have been divided into four groups. Top-2 teams from each group will qualify for Super-8. After this, the Super-8 teams will be divided into two groups and the top two teams of both the groups will go to the semi-finals.
